Map to the 2009 Dachshund Picnic and Wiener Walk.

August 9th, registration begins at 11AM. Events begin at Noon. No membership required. But you will need a Dachshund!

A small fee of $5 per dog is required to attend the Picnic. The fees collected are used to fund our Dachshund Rescue Program and to promote health and awareness for Dachshunds.

The Wiener-Walk guidelines are the same as last year:

  • All dogs on lead at all times
  • Dachshunds only
  • No puppy sales
  • No dogs under 5 months on site
  • All puppies should have their full complement of immunization shots - for their own protection.

Hotdogs (go figger) and Smokies are available for purchase for lunch, along with chips, cookies and soda. Prices are generally reasonable.

There's also a silent auction of numerous Dachshund related items.

The park itself is a treed area with lots of shade and an open field to the north of the activity area for dog romping. Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket for the ground. A pathway around the park serves as the Wiener Walk route.

Restrooms are available in the Recreation Center just a few steps away.
